A 43 year-old woman has been arrested for stabbing her mother to death early this morning in Los Angeles.
Police were called to an assisted living facility in Covina at around 5 a.m. Monday amid reports of a woman that was not breathing.
When they arrived they found a 61 year-old woman, Margaret Machiko Yamaguci, on the floor of her room with multiple stab wounds, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Also in the room was Yamachui’s daughter, Athina Sumi Rivera, 43, KTLA has reported.
Police have arrested Rivera on suspicion of murdering her mother, investigators said she had spent the night at the facility.
