NEW YORK — There has been an explosion at John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx. The scene is at 99 Terrace View Ave.

Multiple floors of the building were damaged. There are reports of injuries, according to reports, at least three people were wounded.

Contractors may have been working at the school at the time of the blast.

From PIX 11: According to NYC School Construction Authority’s website, construction was being done in the school’s science labs. Those injured were reportedly workers or contractors inside the building.

One victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center with serious burns. Two others’ injuries are being examined.
