Pensacola, FLA – Thursday afternoon, Carolos Fetituuaki Tuifua, 22, pointed a firearm at a deputy who was conducting an investigation in an unmarked car.
At approximately 4:00 pm, the deputy was traveling on 12th Avenue when the suspect, later identified as Tuifua, pointed the firearm through the open window of a white car and yelled in the deputy’s direction.
The deputy was able to obtain the vehicle’s tag number and patrol deputies and investigators responded to Tuifua’s home, where the white car was in the carport. Carlos Tuifua was identified as the suspect who had pointed the gun and taken into custody.
A toy gun was recovered and Tuifua admitted to having pointed it. Carlos Tuifua was found not to have a driver’s license and was charged with driving with no license as well as aggravated assault.
While at the residence, a second man, Tevita Tuifua, 19, refused to follow orders, obstructing the investigation into the incident and placing himself, and the officers in a hazardous situation.
Tevita Tuifua was arrested and charged with resisting an officer without violence.
