Los Angeles, California – CEO of McDonald’s, Steve Easterbrook announced the franchise will begin serving alcoholic beverages to its customers 21 years of age and older between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 3:00 AM in drive-thrus at participating McDonald’s locations.
The announcement marks a leap forward for the fast food conglomerate and is a great marketing ploy. “We understand the needs of our McCustomers and know that the vast majority of our patrons that dine with us between the hours of midnight and 3:00 AM are college students and night shift workers who are looking to wind down after a long day. Not only are they in search of a great meal but they would love to wash down our famous menu items with a cold beer,” Easterbrook stated. “Available July 13, 2015, McDonald’s will begin offering the McBrew in a variety of alcoholic brands including Budweiser, Corona, Heineken and an assortment of frozen alcoholic beverages. We are extremely excited about this new endeavor.”
