NEW YORK CITY — NYPD Police Officers Rolffot and McCarthy from Brooklyn’s 70 Precinct arrested three people early Monday morning and recovered a loaded handgun hidden inside a bible.
The two officers stopped a black 2012 Toyota Corolla at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Dorchester Road for having heavily tinted windows when they noticed a strong odor of marijuana inside the vehicle and an open alcoholic container.

As the officers investigated further they found the driver to be in possession of an empty gun holster and a firearm in a lockbox resembling a Bible. The driver and the two other occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
A loaded Glock 9mm semi-automatic handgun was recovered along with two knives and two glassine envelopes of marijuana. The three individuals were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of Marijuana.
