New Airborne AIDS Virus Infects Thousands, Killing Over 200 in China

In efforts to prevent the disease from spreading, researchers have discovered that burning the bodies of the infect dead will assist in the efforts preventing the virus from spreading.

“We have discovered that the virus can be spread from the deceased. When an infected corpse decomposes, a mutated form of the virus is released into the air which can be contracted the same way as it would be from the living. In order for us to eliminate part of the threat, we are cremating all of the decease who were infected,” said Kao Jin-Xi, director of Crematory Services.

The Chinese CDC has issued a list of symptoms individuals should be aware of. These symptoms include but are not limited to, continuous low fever or flu-like feeling, loss of appetite, fatigue or weakness, inability to tolerate alcohol, upper respiratory tract infections, chronic severe nasal congestion, nasal cavity infections, dry mouth and/or oral ulcers, white tongue coating, often with red spots on the tongue, peeling skin on palms of hands and soles of feet, poor or no sleep, nail loss, and neurological problems.

Reports also have indicated that many of those who become infect shows signs of psychotic episodes.

As of now, the source of the virus is unknown however Chinese officials are taking all measures to prevent the virus from spreading into major cities.
