New Airborne AIDS Virus Infects Thousands, Killing Over 200 in China Spreading
The airborne AIDS virus is unlike the original virus, which is transmitted through sexual intercourse or blood. Instead, the virus resembles characteristics of SARS, which is spread through the air. Once someone has caught the virus, it spreads to others, like friends and family through day-to-day contact. However, once the individual is infected, the virus can be spread through sexual intercourse.

According to Dr. Lin-Lin Xao Fang, researcher at the Chinese CDC, “Patients who contract the virus are not even aware they have it. The virus resembles the common cold when first contracted causing the patient to ignore it. By the patient ignoring the symptoms, the virus attacks all aspects of the body causing the individual to become very ill. Elderly people, newborns, and those who already have a weak immune system are more likely to die with in 24-48 hours of contracting the virus.”

Chinese officials have reported that as of now, the virus has spread in rural part of the country such as Anhui, Fujian, Guangxi and Zhejiang have been affected but they fear the virus will soon reach major cities.
