Rockstar Games have announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently in development with the intentions of using Washington D.C. as the main environment for the game.

Of course, given the fact that Grand Theft Auto 5 took roughly five years to become available to the public, we’re pretty sure that Rockstar has been working on GTA VI soon after the release of GTA V. A lot of rumors have surfaced in the gaming community and on social networks about possible features, character voice overs, and gameplay however Rockstar has remained silent in regards to the games development.

Some sources suggest that Rockstar has over 45 years worth of ideas for Grand Theft Auto 6 and the company has already started development on the next installment.

Rockstar Games President, Leslie Benzies has been reportedly quoted stating:

Weve got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We dont know what GTA 6 will be, but weve got some ideas. It comes from the idea first. Where is it going to be set is the first question.

Then that defines the missions; youre doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in.

Other sources have mentioned that President Obama, or a character to his likeness, will be in the game as well as major events that have occurred between 2012 and present day. While Rockstar is still working on content for GTA V for the console and PC, we can assume that GTA VI will definitely have some great content and gameplay when released.
