PHOENIX, ARIZONA (NEWSWATCH33) – Ebiye Alabi, 32, of New York, flew out to a Nigerian religious revival to receive prayer from well known Nigerian pastor Abaeze Onwenu. The woman flew out to the revival in fear that her unborn son would come out gay based on a dream she had.
Nigerian culture does not tolerate homosexuality. Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan signed a bill that criminalizes same-sex relationships and if violated, one could serve up to 14 years in prison. Alabi plans to go back to Nigeria after her child is born but fears that if he is gay, he may be locked up or killed.
“I do not want a gay child. I can not allow this to happen. This will shame my family and my country. I need my child to be gay free. A spirit came to me in my dream and told me to see the pastor right away to remove the gay from my son,” said Alabi.
